Metal Roofs
Metal roofs have been increasing in popularity more and more as new proven technologies and systems have been developed.
Metal roofing systems can be used on all types of buildings. They are lighter than most other roofing systems and can last more than 30 years.
Metal roofing systems have either a standing seam (1/12 pitch or greater) or a flat seam that is fully soldered (1/12 pitch or less). Metal roofs are composed of sloped interlocking shingles (DECRA or Tilcore) and usually have a 3/12 pitch or greater.
The most common materials used for metal roofing systems include .032 aluminum, 24-gauge prefinished steel, 16-20 oz. copper, Freedom gray copper (zinc-coated copper), lead-coated copper, or zinc.
